a bishop of Cologne, who flourished in the 7th century (supposed to have held the see from 613-661), is generally regarded as one of the most influential prelates of the Frankish realm in the 7th century. Not only in ecclesiastical, but also in the civil history of that period, Kunibert fills a not unimportant place. He was a favorite adviser of king Dagobert I, and was the educator of Sigbert III.
