a Roman Catholic prelate, was born at Dubiecko, Poland, Feb. 3, 1734, and early entered the priestly office. His remarkable talents secured for him, when only twenty-nine years old, the honorable appointment as prince-bishop. He died March 14,1801, as prince-bishop of Gnesen, where he had lived since 1795.
