a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born at Nuremberg in 1566. He studied at different universities, was in 1592 preacher at Wittenberg, in 1597 at Brunswick, and in 1611 at Schweinfurt. He died May 3, 1616, leaving, Enchiridion Ordinandorum: — De Hamartigenia: — Catechismus Lutheri Minor Notis Illustratus. See Rethmeyer, Braunschweigische Kirchen-Historie; Zeltner, Diss. de Joh.
