a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born March 23, 1696. He studied at Leipsic, was in 1720 doctor of philosophy, in 1727 professor, and died March 7, 1756. He published, De Nonnullis Indulgentiarumn Quaestoribus (Leipsic, 1720): — De Chrysosthomi ad Caesareum Monachum Epistola, etc. (ibid. 1723): — Nachlese einiger grisstentheils noch ungedrucktemn Urkunden, etc. (4 parts, 1727-33): — Historia Concilii Lateranensis, etc. (1731), etc. See Doring, Die gelehrten Theologen Deutschlands, s.v.; Wiier, Handbuch der theol.
