a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born in Holstein, July 20, 1639. He studied at Helmstadt and Giessen, was in 1665 third preacher at Norden, East Frisia, in 1683 pastor primarius, and died May 20, 1699, leaving De Usu Logices in Theologia (Giessen, 1660): — De Usu Metaphysicae in Theologia (eod.): — De Principio Theologiae (eod.):De Deo (eod): — De Questione Ubinam Ecclesia Lutheri Fuerit ante Lutherum (1664), besides writing numerous ascetical works.
