a Jewish rabbi, was born in Hungary in 1831. He studied at Prague, where he also acted for some time as rabbi-preacher of the Meisel synagogue. In 1866 he was called to New York by the congregation Ahavath-Chesed, and died in October, 1884. Hibsch is knownas the author of תרגום סזוי חמש מגלות עם, i.e., Die funf Megioth, etc. (Prague, 1866).
