a Protestant theologian of Germany, born at Augsburg in 1747, was deacon in his native city in 1780, and died December 7, 1798, leaving, Neues Beicht- und Communionbuch (Augsburg, 1778, 2 volumes): — Versuch einer theologischen Encyclopadie und Methodologie (Leipsic, 1778), and some ascetical works.
