a German historian, was born at Cologne in 1694. At the age of seventeen he joined the Jesuits, was for some time professor of Oriental languages at Milan, afterwards professor of philosophy and theology at Cologne, and died May 17, 1763, leaving, De Initio Metropoleos Ecclesiosticae Colonice (Cologne, 1731, 1732): — Bibliotheca Coloniensis, etc. (ibid. 1747): — Catalogus Coloniensis (ibid. 1752): — De Edenda Collectione Conciliorum Germaniae (ibid. 1758): — Concilia Germaniae (1759-63, 5 volumes).
