a Protestant theologian, was born May 1, 1754, in Switzerland. He studied at Zurich, was vicar in 1773, in 1784 chaplain to the prince of Dessan, in 1793 preacher at Bremen, in 1802 professor at the gymnasium there, in 1805 superintendent at Bernburg, and died April 4, 1811.
