a learned Karaite Jew, was born towards the end of the 11th century, at Jerusalem, and died between 1150 and 1160. He is the author of a great work, bearing upon the literature of the Karaite Jews, entitled, אֶשְׁכֹּל הִכֹּפֶר, also סֵפֶר הִפֶּלֶס, first published at Koslov, 1836. See Furst, Bibl.
