a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born January 1, 1546, at Rotenburg. He studied at Marburg, and was there professor of Hebrew and Greek in 1582. In 1593 he went to Liibeck as director of the schools, and died December 24, 1624. He wrote, Grammatica Linguae Sanctae: — Sylloge Vocumm Exoticarum Novi Testamenti: — Collatio Praecipuarum Sacrae Geneseos Translationum; etc. See Moller, Cimbria Litterata; Furst, Bibl.
