a reputable French engraver, was born at Strasburg in 1566, and acquired: the principles of the art in his native city. He went to Rome, where he settled permanently, and executed a number of plates, among which are the following: The Virgin Seated, with the Infant Jesus and St. John; Mary Magdalene Sitting.
