OF ARMENIA (surnamed Magovetsi), was elected patriarch, in 1443, to succeed Guurragas, whom Zacharias, bishop of Havuts-Tharha, had de- posed. Yacbub Bey, of Erivan, governor of Armenia, imposed on him a heavy tribute, which, however, did not prevent Gregory from finding the means to repair the patriarchal church. He died in 1462.
