a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born at Hamburg, June 8, 1700. He studied at Wittenberg, was preacher in 1727 in the neighborhood of his native city, accepted a call in 1737 to Hamburg, and died November 18, 1754, leaving, De ea Quantum Reformatio Lutheri Profuerit Logicae (Hamburg, 1717): — De Tertulliani Testimonio de Apotheosi Christi (1722): — Athanasius de Morte Christi Referens (eod.): — De Moderatione Theologica (1723).
