Goldberg, Beer

a Jewish writer, was born in 1801 in Poland. In 1840 he went to Berlin, in 1847 to London, in 1852 to Paris, and died there, May 4, 1884. He published, Chofes Matmonim sive Anecdota Rabbinica (Berlin, 1845): — Jesod Olam, edited for the first time after an old MS. (1848): — Sefer ha- Rikmah, of Ibn-Gemach (Frankfort, 1856): — Sefer Taggin, a masoretic work, edited in connection with Barges: — Risalatf, or Ibn-Koreish's treatise on the use of the study of the Targums (Paris, 1867): — Sefer ha- Sichronoth, or a Hebrew concordance, by Elias Levita, edited after a Paris manuscript (Frankfort, 1874).
