a French Protestant divine, was born at Castres towards 1615. In 1649 he was appointed pastor of his native city, where he soon became distinguished as a preacher. In 1654 he was called to Paris to supply the Protestant church of Charenton. He died at Paris in December, 1668. During his sojourn at Castres he contributed to the formation of an academy, which did not last long, but counted among its members many distinguished men. Hepublished a number of separate sermons, sixteen of which have been collected under the title Seize Sermons sur differents suaets (Geneva, 1660, 8vo).
