a Jewish writer of Germany, was born at Gross-Glogau in 1779, and died at Breslau, December 5, 1859. He wrote, עקרי אמונה, Ueber die Dogmen des Judischen Glaubens (Breslau, 1816-18, 3 volumes): — יסוד הדת (1821-23, 7 volumes), a kind of apology, of Judaism, which was followed by a supplement, entitled החכמה התבונה והדת (ibid. 1843- 46).
