a Jewish author of Germany, born at Berlin in 1779, was director of the Jewish schools at Dessau, and died in 1865. He published, Zeitschrift zur Beforderung der Kultur und Humanitat unter der jud. Nation (1806- 1840): — Geneinnutzige Blatter fur Wissenschaft, Schule und Leben (Dessau, 1835): Die Lage der Juden in der altern und neueren Zeit (ibid. 1808). With M.E.
