a Lutheran theologian and hymn-writer of Germany, was born November 1, 1618. He studied at different universities, was in 1646 deacon at Grimrmen, near Greifswalde, and died at Stralsund, January 7, 1678. His hymns are published in Himmlisches Lust Gairtlein (Greifswalde, 1661). .
