Fischer, Gottlob Eusebius
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born May 23, 1769, at Golssen, in Lower Lusatia. In 1797 he was deacon, in 1801 archdeacon, in 1810 pastor at Ranis, in 1819 superintendent at Sangerhausen, and died in 1849, leaving, Predigtentwurfe uber freie Texte (Eisleben, 1835, 1836, 2 volumes): — Christliches Predigtbuch ( Sangerhausen, 1836): — Christliche Betstunden (Neustadt, 1834-36, 4 parts): — Jesus Christus, eine Erzahlung fur verstandige Kinder (Leipsic, 1794): — Kirchliche Catechisationen (Neustadt, 1828-31, 4 volumes): — he also worked up the New Test. part to Dinter's Die Bibel, als Erbauungsbuch fur Gebildete (ibid. 1832).
