a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born in Thuringia, February 28, 1754. He studied at Leipsic, was in 1784 preacher at Trachenau near that city, and died there, November 16, 1796, leaving, Ueber die Vortheile der Leiden und Widerwartigkeiten dees Lebens (Leipsic, 1784; 2d ed. 1787; translated also into Dutch).
