(Hebrews Eyn Chatsor', ין חָצוֹר , focntain of Hazor, i.e., of the village; Sept. πηγὴ Ἀσώρ ), a fortified city of the tribe of Naphtali, mentioned between Edrei and Iron (Joshua 19:37), but apparently different from Hazor (Joshua 19:36). It has been identified by Schwarz (Palest. page 183) and Thomson (Land and Book, 1:515) with the Ain-Hazur not far N.W. of TellHfazr (between Rameh or Ramah and Yakuk or Hukkok), which latter (being marked as a ruined site by Van de Velde, although Dr. Robinson, who visited it, denies that there are any traces of structures on the summit; Later Researches, page 81), was probably the location of the city itself.
