a Roman Catholic divine, was born at Holt Castle, on the borders of Wales. He was educated at Oxford, elected fellow of Oriel College in 1507, and soon after ordained. About 1519l he was appointed canon successively at Salisbury, Wells, and Bristol; in 1554 chancellor of Wells, and also vicar of St. Cuthbert's Church, to which he was admitted October 3, 1543.
