a Lutheran minister of Germany, was born December 20, 1660, at Marolissa, in Upper Lusatia. He studied at Leipsic; was first pastor at Holzkirch, in his native province; in 1693 accepted a call to Lauban, and died there in 1724, leaving a number of hymns.
