a German philologist and theologian, was born at Stade, June 30, 1647. He studied at Giessen and Wittenberg, and was appointed president of the college in his native place, superintendent of the duchies of Bremen and Weser, and later professor of theology in the university of Kiel. He died at Kiel, July 4, 1720, leaving several dissertations, enumerated in the sixth volume of the Historia Bibliothecce Fabricianae. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.; Chalmers, Biog.
