a Baptist minister, was born at Salem, N.J., January 28, 1810. He graduated from the Hamilton Institution in 1835; was ordained at Poughkeepsie in 1836, and continued as pastor there for forty years. His other pastorates were at Danvers, Massachusetts, Burlington, N.J., Elmira, N.Y., Lewisburg, and Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania, in which place he resided fourteen years. He died December 8, 1875.
