a Scotch clergyman, had the gift of a bursary in Edinburgh University in November 1747; was licensed to preach in November 1752; became assistant to Mr. Archibald Lundie, minister of Salton; was presented by the king to the living at Stow; ordained September 25, 1759 and died March 23, 1809, aged eighty-one years.
