a Baptist minister, was born in Birmingham, England, April 11, 1837. He was educated at Rawden College, Yorkshire, ordained in 1862 in his native city, where he was pastor of the Bond Street Chuirch five years; came to the United States in 1867, and for four years took charge of the Church in South Norwalk, Connecticut. In 1872 he became pastor of the Central Church, Norwich. where his health suddenly failed, December 28, 1879. He returned to England, and died in Birmingham, April 19, 1880.
