a Baptist minister, was born in Middlesex County, Virginia, June 10, 1773. He removed to North Carolina; in 1802 united with the Church at Holly Springs, Wake County, and was ordained in 1803. He labored as an itinerant evangelist in different parts of North Carolina, Virginia, Mississippi, and Tennessee; and died in Paris, Tennessee, September 14, 1840.
