(properly Joseph le Governeur), a French theologian, was born at St. Malo in 1601. He entered the noviitiate of the Carmelites of Reimes at the age of fifteen, and nine years afterwards taught philosophy at Caen, and subsequently theology, with great repute. He became provincial of his order in the province of Toulouse, and died at Guildo, February 5, 1666, leaving Vie de Saint Andre; Corsin (Rennes; 1630): — Manuel de la Confrerie de la Sainte Famille de Jesus (Angers, 1640): — Le Thiologien Francais sur le Mystere de la Sainte Trinith (1643, 1658): — Panegyriques (1660).
