Cubitt, James
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

an English Baptist minister, was born at Neateshead, Suffolk, in 1808. He graduated from Stepney College in 1834, and the same year became pastor of the Church at Ilford, Essex. In 1837 he removed to Stratford-on-Avon. in 1841 to Bourtonon-the-Water, remaining there seven years, and then was pastor at Thrapston, Northamptonshire, for twelve years. In 1861 he became one of the tutors in Mr. Spurgeon's Metropolitan Tabernacle, Southwark, but in 1863 was compelled to desist from all occupation, and died August 5 of the same year. See (Lond.)
