a French scholar of the Jesuit order, was born in 1568, in the diocese of Treguier. He taught classics, philosophy, and theology successively; was for fifteen years secretary of the general of his order at Rome; and died Nov. 11, 1634. His principal works are Theatrum Veterum Rhetorum (Paris, 1620): — De Perfecta Oratoris Actione et Pronunciatione (ibid. eod.): — Mystagogus Hominum (ibid. 1629, 1638): — Anthologia Sacra (ibid. 1632, 1638).
