a Baptist minister, was born in South Carolina in 1794. He was licensed to preach in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, but changed his views and united with the Baptist Church, and was inducted into the ministry in 1839. He served as pastor the Mound Bluff Church, and the Albion and Antioch churches in Mississippi, near Vicksburg, and also practiced medicine quite successfully. He died August 27, 1849.
