a Baptist minister, was born at Mansfield, Connecticut, July 26, 1804. Without taking a collegiate course he graduated at the Newton Theological Institution in 1836; soon after was ordained at Newton Upper Falls, Massachusetts, remaining for three years (1836-1839), and then removed to Weston, where he was pastor fourteen years. He was for some years an agent of the American and Foreign Bible Society, and for a time was a supply at New England Village, Grafton, and West Sutton. He died at New England Village, April 20,1860.
