a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Washington County, Kentucky, January 15, 1809; experienced religion at the age of ten; joined the Tennessee Conference when twenty-five, and was immediately transferred to the Alabama Conference, wherein he served the Church with zeal and fidelity until his death, January 18, 1836.
