an Italian prelate, was born about 1560; was made cardinal in 1586, afterwards viceroy of Aragon, and died at Rome, May 17, 1608, leaving De Monarchia Siciliae, which is a critique upon the treatise of Baronius, Monarchia Siciliana, and is found, with the response of Barolius, in the Thesaurus Antiquitatum Siciliae of Grsevius.
