a Baptist minister, was born in Maine about 1760, and was licensed by the Lewiston Conference (so called), and ordained an evangelist in 1801. In 1802 he was chosen pastor of the Church in Lewiston, and continued in this relation nearly forty years, with the exception of a few short intervals, when he was engaged in missionary labors in destitute sections of the state of Maine.
