a Portuguese theologian born at Obidos, Brazil, was an indefatigable translator, and died in the 17th century, at the age of eighty years, leaving a large number of works, among which we cite, Banquete da Alma (1687): — Practica dos Exeracicios Spirituaes de Santo Ignacioa (Lisbon, 1687): — Astro Vespertino, de S.
