a French poet and theologian, was born at Corberie, near Lassay, district of Orne, in 1640. He was chancellor of the Church, and of the University of Paris, and sought to prevent the revocation of the edict of Nantes. He died at Paris in 1693, leaving Interpretation des Psaumes et des Cantiques (Paris, 1686; Bordeaux, 1731; Limoges, s.v. ): — Le Manuel d'Epictete (Paris, 1688), mostly in verse: — Traite de ce qui est di aux Puissances (ibid. 1690)..
