a French martyr, was a schoolmaster in the city of Saint-Mihiel, in Lorraine, who maintained against three priests that the sacrament of baptism and of the Lord's Supper did not avail unless received with faith.. For this, and also for his confession, which he, being in prison, sent of his own accord by his mother to the judge, he was burned, most quietly suffering, in 1545, in Lorraine.
