a Scotch Independent minister, was born at Whitburn, Wigton, Scotland, March 12,1833. He was educated at Glasgow University, and began his ministry in the service of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Glasgow. He labored in that city more than ten years, and then, after two years' retirement, engaged in Christian labor for the Congregational Church at Normanton, where he died, Aug. 24, 1872. See (Lond.)
