an English Wesleyan minister, was born at Farnley, near Leeds. He was converted at the 'age of fifteen, entered the sacred calling in 1822, and died suddenly, Oct. 11, 1851, aged fifty-four. He loved Methodism with an unwearying attachment. He brought all his powers into the service. He was kind and faithful, especially to .the poor and suffering.
