Clark, Nelson
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
a Congregational minister, was born at Brook field, Vt., Aug. 13, 1813. He graduated at Dartmouth College in 1838, and at Andover Theological Seminary in 1842, after. serving one year as tutor in Western Reserve College. He was ordained at Randolph, Vt., July 16, 1844, and remained there until April 7. 1846. The next three years lie was acting pastor at Charlton, Mass. From January. 1850, to April i858, he was pastor in Quincy; from 1858 to 1865, acting pastor in Tiverton, R.I.; from 1865 to 1871, at Somerset, Mass.; from 1871 to 1873, pastor in Rochester; from 1876 to 1878, acting pastor in Clearwater, Minn.; in 1879, resided without charge at Stillwater; in December of that year became acting pastor at National and at Garnavillo, Ia., and continued to hold this position until his death, at National, March. 16, 1880.
