a Parisian painter, brother of the foregoing, was born at Paris in 1660, where he first studied, and afterwards visited Italy. On returning to Paris he was employed to paint two pictures for the Church of Notre Dame, representing The Decollation of John the Baptist, and The Prophet Agabus. Being a Calvinist, he was compelled to leave France, and went to England where he executed a number of works, among them, Peter Curing the Lame Man at the Gate of the Temple; The Baptism of the Eunuch by Philip; and twenty-three subjects for the Psalms of David.
