a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born Oct. 10, 1614, at Rothleben, and studied at Jena, Wittenberg, and Helmstadt. He died Sept. 15,1671, being doctor and professor of theology of Helmstadt and abbot of Marienthal, and leaving Examen Controversitarum Ecclesiasticarum Augustana Confessionis: — Epitome Theologiae Philosophiae: De Natura Theologiae.
