an English Congregational minister, was born at Gisburn-in-Craven, Yorkshire, Oct. 4, 1820, of Wesleyan parents. He was converted in his fifteenth year, and was put under private training in London for the Wesleyan ministry. He became pastor of the Congregational Church at Hounslow, where he was ordained, March 22, 1854, and labored eight years. Thence he removed to Lidfield, Sussex. Early in 1865 he accepted a call to Soham, Cambridgeshire, where he was very successful. In 1873 Mr. Catlow became pastor of Zion Chapel, Ashbourne, where he remained until his death, March 5, 1877.
