a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born at Baltimore, Md., Feb. 5,1827. He was converted in 1846, and in 1850 entered the Baltimore Conference; continued his labors until March, 1872, and then became superannuated, which relation he sustained until his death, in his native city, Nov. 22, 1872. Mr. Cassady possessed superior powers of mind, which, by careful discipline, made him distinguished for comprehensiveness and clearness of thought, originality, and ability.
