a Spanish biographer and ascetic theologian of the order of Carmelites, was born at Valencia about 1527 and died at the same place in 1607. His principal works are Vita S. Ildephonsi (Valencia, 1556, republished by Bollandus, with notes, in the Acta Sanctorum). Camino del Cielo (ibid. 1601): Catecismo y Doctrina de'Religiosos Novicias, Professos. y Monjas (ibid. 1605).
