a Baptist minister, was born at Monkton, Vt., March 5, 1785. He was ordained in 1816, in Schoharie County, N. Y., where he was a useful and successful pastor for nearly a third of a century. In 1838 he removed to the West, on account of ill health, but was able to preach but little afterwards, and died at Grand Detour, Ogle Co., Ill, July 3, 1849. See Minutes of Ill.
