a Scotch clergyman, son of a schoolmaster, was himself schoolmaster at Kincardine in 1789, afterwards at Skye, and recommended for the mission at Reav and Halkirk. He became assistant minister at Croy; was elected to the charge at the Gaelic chapel in Glasgow in 1810, and ordained; but resigned the charge in 1822, and removed to Rosskeen. He had a new church built in 1832; joined the Free Secession in 1843; and died May 26,1856, aged eighty-three years. He was a ready and humorous speaker in Church courts.
